The Parabellum-Pistole (Pistol Parabellum), popularly (but incorrectly) known as the Luger, is a toggle locked, recoil operated, semi-automatic pistol. The design was patented by Georg Luger in 1898 and produced by German arms manufacturer Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) starting in 1900; it was an evolution of the 1898 Hugo Borchardt designed C-93.The Luger was made popular by its use by Germany during World War I and World War II. We've been wondering when will the WE SVD Gas Blowback Rifle be released ever since it was announced. This time, Public Enemy gave us an indepth report that WE is not jus releaseing one but three types of SVD GBBs that will suit your budget and preference. More choices for us then, especially for those who want some good gas blowback sniper rifles.
This was confirmed by WE as they posted more photos at their Facebook page and listing the three versions:
Basic: Polymer furniture + Aluminum alloy receiver + selective steel parts
Standard: CNC real wood furniture + Aluminum alloy receiver + selective steel parts
Ultimate/Collector: CNC real wood furniture + 100% CNC steel receiver + selective steel parts
Prices start at US$275.00 which of course will go up to around US$505.00 depending on the version that you choose.
Back to the Public Enemy story as they report that there will be different series of the SVD PSO-1 sight and more details will be revealed in the near future. Furthermore, James Chan of WE also has his own "pocket" version short barrel SVD GBB that can fire .36g bbs to a range of 80-100 meters. We'll get further confirmation once ARick Tsang and the rest of the Public Enemy crew get in touch with James.
